For organizations

Develop emerging leaders who can understand the business, solve the right problems, and earn support for change

The Intrapreneurship Journey is a case-based leadership development methodology for professionals who see opportunities inside the organization but do not yet have the authority to act alone.

It develops the perspective, business judgment, collaboration, and influence required to move an idea from observation to implementation.

Looking for this for yourself rather than a team? That is the individual track.

The people closest to the work often see what needs to change first

They notice customer frustrations, inefficient processes, performance gaps, and opportunities leadership may not yet see.

But seeing an opportunity is only the beginning. Ideas often stall when they are disconnected from organizational priorities, developed without the people closest to the work, or brought to leadership without enough evidence, context, or consideration of risk.

The Intrapreneurship Journey teaches professionals how to understand the system before trying to change it, build stronger ideas with others, and bring forward recommendations leaders can responsibly act on.

You cannot influence what you do not understand. The anchor of the Journey

What the Journey develops

Business perspective
Participants learn to understand the history behind the current way of working, what leaders are responsible for, what the organization measures, and what receives attention and reinforcement.
Analytical judgment
They learn to distinguish symptoms from root causes, examine data from different perspectives, test assumptions, and focus on the problems that matter most.
Credible recommendations
They learn to develop and compare options, consider cost, risk, return, feasibility, timing, and organizational impact, and build a practical path forward.
Influence and shared ownership
They learn to listen, collaborate, involve the right people, frame ideas for different decision-makers, and build the support required for implementation.

What changes for the organization

  • Better ideas reach leadership. More recommendations arrive connected to business priorities, evidence, and organizational reality
  • Emerging leaders contribute beyond their roles. Professionals begin to see the wider business, take greater ownership, and consider how their decisions affect the larger system
  • Collaboration begins earlier. The people who understand the work, and those who will be affected by the change, help shape the recommendation before it reaches leadership
  • Change is easier to implement. Ideas are developed with the people, measures, risks, and support required to move from approval into practice

Three formats. One methodology.

Each format uses the same Intrapreneurship Journey framework. What changes is the depth of practice, the level of workplace application, and how extensively the engagement is designed around your organization.

Intrapreneurship Foundations

Five weeks. One orientation and eight two-hour sessions, run inside your organization.

For organizations that want to build intrapreneurial and leadership capability across a cohort. Participants work through a realistic business case, practice the full Journey, and apply the same disciplines to situations inside their own work between sessions.

Best when: You want repeated practice, reflection, and application across a group of emerging leaders working together, spread over five weeks.

Foundations Two-Day Intensive

Two concentrated working days.

For leadership retreats, off-sites, team development, and organizations that want to establish a shared approach for understanding problems and moving ideas forward. Participants experience the Journey through a case, make decisions with incomplete information, and develop a common language they can use together.

Best when: You want a meaningful, practical experience within a limited period of time.

Custom Intrapreneurship Accelerator

Two to three months. Develop emerging leaders while moving important organizational work forward.

An applied fellowship, running two to three months, in which participants learn the Intrapreneurship Journey while advancing a live challenge, opportunity, or initiative inside the organization. They are guided through the entire Journey and get to work with real stakeholders, evidence, priorities, constraints, and decision-makers, building both the leadership capability to influence change and a credible path forward for the organization.

Best when: You need the Journey applied to a specific organizational situation or integrated into work already underway across two to three months.

The framework participants use

Gaining Perspective remains active throughout all five Dimensions. It is the anchor of the Journey rather than a single step completed at the beginning. See how the full framework works.

Gain Perspective
Observe what leaders and colleagues focus on. Ask thoughtful questions. Listen brilliantly. Clarify what you heard before acting on it. You cannot influence what you do not understand
Align
Connect the opportunity to the priorities, performance metrics, and reinforcement systems that guide attention and decisions
Analyze
Work with the people closest to the situation to identify performance gaps, examine data, test assumptions, and uncover root causes
Build
Develop and assess possible solutions. Consider impact, investment, risk, return, feasibility, timing, and implementation
Enroll
Create the clarity and believability decision-makers need to responsibly support a new direction
Implement
Communicate the change, involve those affected, test through a pilot, assess performance, adapt, and establish the new way when it works

Why the Intrapreneurship Journey works

It reflects both sides of the decision
The Journey combines the perspective of people who have brought ideas forward with the perspective of leaders who have evaluated, funded, challenged, and implemented them.
It respects the human reality of change
A new idea can unintentionally communicate that the current work is inadequate. The Journey teaches participants to approach change with respect, curiosity, inclusion, and an understanding of the people who created and maintain the current system.
It brings together the art and science of leadership
Participants develop the quantitative discipline leaders expect, including metrics, evidence, risk, return, and implementation, alongside the qualitative capabilities that influence adoption: listening, trust, collaboration, judgment, and credibility.

Who it is for

The Journey is designed for people who are close enough to the work to see what could be improved, but who do not yet control all the authority, resources, or decisions required to make the change alone.

Participants may include:

  • Emerging and future leaders
  • High-potential professionals
  • Technical or functional experts
  • Project and program leaders
  • Cross-functional talent
  • Professionals preparing for wider organizational responsibility

They do not need to manage a team. They need an opportunity to contribute beyond the boundaries of their current role.

How progress can be assessed

The measures should reflect what the organization wants the engagement to change. Depending on the format, progress may be assessed through the quality of participants' analysis and recommendations, their ability to connect ideas to organizational priorities, the range of stakeholder perspectives they include, sponsor or manager observations, movement of selected ideas toward a decision, pilot, or implementation, and participants' application of the methodology after the program.

The assessment approach is agreed during the design of the engagement rather than added at the end.

Built from both sides of the table

Brent Martini
Brent brings the perspective of a former Fortune 50 executive, entrepreneur, advisor, and decision-maker who has evaluated, supported, challenged, and implemented ideas across corporate, entrepreneurial, and nonprofit environments. His contribution to the Journey is grounded in a simple question: what do leaders actually need to understand, see, and trust before they can responsibly say yes to change?
Mentor Dida
Mentor brings the perspective of an educator, organizational futurist, learning designer, and facilitator who has developed leadership and innovation experiences across business, education, government, and social impact. His contribution is translating the realities of organizational change into human, participatory learning experiences that help people think more deeply, work with others, and apply what they learn.

Let's make it work for you

You do not need to choose a format before speaking with us. Tell us what the organization is trying to improve, who needs to be involved, and what you hope will be different afterward. We will help you determine whether Intrapreneurship Foundations across five weeks, the two-day Intensive, the Accelerator of two to three months, or another approach is appropriate.
