For organizations · Intrapreneurship Foundations

Develop emerging leaders who know how to move good ideas through the realities of an organization

Intrapreneurship Foundations, run inside your organization. Five weeks, live, case-based.

Intrapreneurship Foundations is a five-week, live, case-based cohort experience that helps ambitious professionals learn how to generate ideas in a way that gets them heard, supported, and implemented at work.

It is the same program as the individual cohort, with the same curriculum and the same shape: one two-hour orientation and eight two-hour sessions across five weeks, 18 live hours. The only difference is that people do it inside their own organization, together with their co-workers.

Organizations can bring the full program exclusively to their employees or sponsor individuals to join one of our quarterly cohorts.

One program. Two ways to bring it to your people.

The curriculum, learning journey, and participant experience remain the same. The difference is who learns together.

Private organizational cohort

Bring Intrapreneurship Foundations exclusively to a selected group of employees inside your organization. Participants move through the program together, develop a shared language, and explore how the Journey applies within a common organizational context. A private cohort is best for organizations that want to:

  • Develop a full cohort of emerging leaders at the same time
  • Build stronger relationships across functions or business units
  • Establish a shared approach for moving ideas forward
  • Connect the learning to an existing talent or leadership initiative
  • Create a common experience employees can continue using together

The core curriculum and five-week format remain consistent. The organizational framing, participant onboarding, and application conversations can be aligned with your context without turning the program into a fully bespoke engagement.

Sponsor employees in a quarterly cohort

Organizations can also sponsor individual employees, or a small group of employees, to join one of our quarterly Intrapreneurship Foundations cohorts. Participants learn alongside ambitious professionals from different organizations, functions, and industries, which gives them a wider range of perspectives while they complete the same five-week curriculum. This option is best when:

  • You want to develop one or several employees
  • You do not yet need a full internal cohort
  • You want employees to learn from professionals outside the organization
  • You would like to nominate people throughout the year
  • You want to experience the program before considering a private cohort

Participants can apply the Journey to their work without sharing confidential or proprietary organizational information.

Built for people with ideas, but without complete authority

The program is designed for professionals who are close enough to the work to see opportunities, frustrations, and problems that could be addressed, but who do not yet control all the authority, resources, or decisions required to make the change alone. They may have a valuable idea but struggle to:

The program is well suited for

  • Emerging leaders and high-potential employees
  • Professionals preparing for wider responsibility
  • Project and program leaders
  • Technical or functional experts
  • Employees working across teams without direct authority
  • People responsible for innovation or continuous improvement
  • Ambitious professionals who see opportunities but struggle to move them forward
  • Connect it to what leadership cares about
  • Understand why the current system exists
  • Determine whether they are solving the real problem
  • Involve colleagues without losing ownership
  • Build a complete and credible recommendation
  • Address risk, cost, return, and feasibility
  • Present the idea in a way different decision-makers can support
  • Move from approval into implementation

Intrapreneurship Foundations gives them a practical pathway for doing that work more thoughtfully and effectively.

How participants learn

A case-based cohort, not a sequence of lectures.

Participants do not simply hear about the Intrapreneurship Journey. They experience it. Across the program they work through a continuing business case that unfolds in stages, receiving incomplete information, making decisions, examining evidence, hearing different interpretations, and revising their thinking as the situation develops. The case gives everyone a shared situation to work from, regardless of role, industry, or level of experience.

A typical learning sequence includes

  1. Participants enter a decision point in the case.
  2. They decide what they would do before receiving instruction.
  3. They compare responses and surface their assumptions.
  4. The facilitators introduce the relevant principles and tools.
  5. Participants apply the learning to the case.
  6. They examine the consequences of their choices.
  7. They reflect on how the same dynamics appear inside their own work.

This method allows participants to observe not only what they decide, but how they think, listen, collaborate, interpret evidence, and respond to uncertainty.

The business case creates a safe environment for practice. Workplace application makes the learning useful. Why Intrapreneurship Foundations runs across five weeks

Participants are not required to disclose confidential information or arrive with a fully developed proposal. They can apply the Journey to an idea, performance problem, opportunity, initiative, or relationship they are currently navigating.

Between and during sessions, participants are encouraged to consider

  • Where do I see a similar challenge in my work?
  • What am I assuming that I have not confirmed?
  • Whose perspective have I not yet sought?
  • Which organizational priority does my idea support?
  • What evidence would make my recommendation more credible?
  • Who needs to help shape the idea?
  • What would a responsible next step look like?

The five-week learning journey

Orientation. Participants meet the cohort, understand how the experience works, establish expectations for participation, and identify what they hope to learn or move forward through the program.

Eight interactive learning sessions. Across the following four weeks, participants move through the complete Intrapreneurship Journey.

Gain Perspective
Understand the world of leaders, colleagues, and those closest to the work through observation, thoughtful questions, Brilliant Listening, and clarification
Align
Identify the priorities, performance metrics, and reinforcement systems that shape what receives leadership attention and resources
Analyze
Examine performance gaps, interpret data, test assumptions, and distinguish symptoms from root causes with the people who understand the current system
Build
Develop and compare solutions against impact, cost, risk, return, feasibility, timing, and the path toward implementation
Enroll
Build the clarity and believability decision-makers need, framed around the responsibilities of different listeners
Implement
Prepare for what happens after approval: communication, roles, support, pilot design, measures of success, adaptation, and shared ownership

Gaining Perspective remains active throughout the entire Journey. Participants repeatedly return to what they still need to observe, ask, hear, and clarify before moving forward. Each Dimension has its own page.

What participants leave better able to do

  • Understand before proposing. Recognize the history, people, priorities, pressures, and systems surrounding the situation they want to influence
  • Solve the right problem. Use data and multiple perspectives to identify the underlying performance gap or opportunity
  • Build business-ready recommendations. Address the questions leaders ask about impact, cost, risk, return, feasibility, and implementation
  • Influence without relying on authority. Build trust, involve others, and adapt the message for different decision-makers without treating enrollment as a sales exercise
  • Turn support into shared action. Think beyond getting a yes and prepare the people, communication, measures, and support implementation requires
  • Lead beyond the boundaries of their role. See the wider business and contribute with the judgment expected of future leaders

What is included

Every participant receives one live orientation session, eight live interactive learning sessions, the complete five-week Intrapreneurship Foundations experience, a continuing business case, a participant workbook and practical tools, facilitated peer discussion, opportunities for workplace application and reflection, and an Intrapreneurship Foundations Certificate of Completion for participants who meet the attendance and completion requirements.

A private cohort can also include an initial conversation with the sponsor to clarify the participant population and how the learning connects to your leadership or talent priorities.

What the organization gains

Intrapreneurship Foundations strengthens the quality of thinking and leadership employees bring to the organization.

  • Better-prepared ideas. Recommendations arrive supported by context, evidence, organizational priorities, and practical implementation thinking
  • Greater business understanding. Participants see beyond their individual roles and how decisions affect customers, colleagues, functions, and performance
  • Stronger emerging leaders. Employees practice listening, judgment, collaboration, influence, and ownership before they hold complete formal authority
  • More productive collaboration. Participants learn to involve others earlier, not merely to obtain agreement, but to improve the thinking and build genuine ownership
  • A shared method for moving ideas forward. Employees leave with a practical framework they can keep using on business problems and new initiatives

Which participation model is right for your organization?

Choose a private cohort when you have a group you want to develop together across the five weeks. Sponsor places in a quarterly cohort when you want to develop one or several employees, benefit from cross-company peer learning, or begin before assembling a full internal cohort.

Choose the Custom Accelerator, which runs two to three months, when employees need to apply the Journey directly to live organizational challenges or initiatives, with sponsor involvement and real responsibility for moving the work forward. The Foundations program builds the capability. The Accelerator, over two to three months, applies it to consequential work inside the organization.

Considering a shorter format?

The Two-Day Intensive runs two concentrated working days and suits leadership retreats, off-sites, and team development. Intrapreneurship Foundations sits above it at five weeks, with one orientation and eight interactive sessions.

Not sure which fits? Compare all three formats.

Invest in people who are ready to contribute more

Your employees do not need to wait until they hold senior authority to understand the business, solve meaningful problems, and move valuable ideas forward. Give them a practical framework for making a greater contribution now, and for becoming the leaders your organization will need next.
